Library Redevelopment at Dumas St Community Learning Precinct
Council and TAFE SA are investing $2+m in 2019/20 in the Dumas Street Community Learning precinct to activate and enliven this important learning precinct. Bringing an Innovation Hub (potentially at this stage) and the Mount Barker Community Centre to the precinct will stimulate learning, interaction, creative thinking, business and community development to complement the State Government’s existing and ongoing commitment to adult learning and Council’s commitment to its community library and its services and events.
Council/TAFE SA have a plan to develop and redesign the jointly owned D Block Building (incorporating the Library) for better service outcomes. Council investment in the Library redevelopment in 2019/20 is $575,000.
