Playground Renewal Program Consultation
Playground Renewal Program
The Mount Barker District Council owns and maintains 33 playgrounds across the District, consisting of a total of 154 individual pieces of play equipment. Council regularly inspects and maintains this equipment on an ongoing basis in order to provide safe playgrounds.
Periodically play equipment is replaced to ensure playgrounds continue to meet stringent Australian Standards and the requirements of the community.
A rolling works program for playground replacement has been developed which is prioritized by the age, condition and compliance of equipment. Prospect Hill Reserve playground is included in the 2019/20 program.
Council is seeking Feedback
To ensure that these playgrounds continue to meet the needs of the community, feedback is invited on the replacement of play equipment and the surrounding reserve area.
