Work has now been completed on the Meadows Bore Water Supply Upgrade.

17 January 2022

As part of Council’s Bore Water Supply Upgrade Program, Council has completed planning, designing & tendering of the upgrade of a section of the existing Bore Water supply pipes in Kondoparinga Road Meadows. This will involve the replacement of the existing Bore Water supply pipe running in front of 6 & 4 Kondoparinga Road to 1/79 Mawson Road Meadows.

This work is programmed replacement of the old supply pipes and is critical to the safe & reliable operation of Council’s Bore Water Supply network in Meadows. Construction is planned to commence on Monday 17January 2022. Work will be performed during the day between the hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Access to the front of 6 & 4 Kondoparinga Road and 1/79 Mawson Road Meadows, by Council’s contractor J&D Barolo Plumbing will be required. Council’s contractor will door knock these properties on the day before access is required. Any work performed within property boundaries will be minor in nature and the properties will be left in the same or better condition that they were prior to any works commencing.

Customers should store sufficient water to adequately provide for their non-drinking water requirements, or plan to use an alternate source should the supply be off for longer than anticipated on any of the days that work is undertaken.

During construction, traffic and pedestrian management will be in place to ensure the safety of the contractors, road users and pedestrians.  Due to the nature of the works requiring open trench construction, sections of Kondoparinga Road & footpath will have restrictions in place. If possible, please use an alternative route during construction to avoid delays in reaching your destination.

It is envisaged that construction works along Kondoparinga Road will be progressive, resulting in temporary access restrictions to the footpath on the eastern side of Kondoparinga Road from Brown Street to Mawson Road.  Dependent upon the weather, it is anticipated that construction will take approximately 1 - 2 weeks.

Your understanding and cooperation with traffic and pedestrian management and any access requirements during these works is greatly appreciated, it  is essential for the delivery of this project and the safety of all.
