Notice of Works - Hartmann Road Update May 2022

9th May 2022

Update May 2022

Council acknowledges that roadworks are annoying and inconvenient to motorists, but also recognises that in a growing district they are inevitable and necessary.

Hartmann Road, a well-used thoroughfare between Sims Road and Bald Hills Road has been subject to roadworks since January this year. This has been necessary for Council to construct sewer mains and then for the developers of the Emerald Way estate to build a roundabout at the Belmont Crescent intersection.

Council completed the sewer works on time in early February after which the developers of Emerald Way began construction of the roundabout.

We have had reasonably good weather to date and the developers inform us that the roundabout works are progressing to schedule and are anticipated to be completed within 5 weeks (approx.).

When completed, the roundabout will effectively manage the increased traffic coming from the Emerald Way estate and ensure that traffic flows smoothly along this important road.

We appreciate your patience as these works are being done knowing that the new roundabout will be of benefit to all users of Hartmann Road.

Update 18 March 2022

Sewer works are now complete on Hartmann Road and roundabout works at the junction with Belmont Crescent have commenced.

Amended Traffic Management and Detours will be in place to allow traffic through Hartmann Road under stop/slow with traffic lights the week commencing 21 March 2022 for approximately 4 weeks.

Please adhere to the changed traffic conditions and consider the residential nature of the detour route.

Thank you for your continued understanding while these works are completed.

Update 16 February 2022

This project is now the construction of the stormwater and roundabout as part of the Emerald Way land division construction activities.

The developer has advised that Hartmann Road will remain fully closed to vehicles for the construction of the stormwater culverts, expected to be complete by mid March after which the road will be open to one lane of traffic under stop go traffic management.
