Springs Road Bald Hills Road Sewer and Recycled Water Under Construction
Council’s existing wastewater network incorporates a network of gravity and rising mains that collect and deliver effluent and sewage to the Mount Barker Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Springs Road, from the townships of Nairne, Brukunga, Littlehampton and Mount Barker for treatment.
Currently there is no sewer or recycled water provision to service the North Eastern Sector being the area bounded by Springs Road and Bald Hills Road, Mount Barker.
This project will facilitate the provision of sewer and recycled water to service the North Eastern Sector and provide a sewer connection point and recycled water supply for the new regional sports hub currently under construction.
Council’s Contractor SADB will commence construction works from Scarborough Way and along Bald Hills Rd from 21 September 2020 (see attached Traffic Management Plan). Work will then follow down Springs Road to the regional sports hub/Aston Hills land division. The works are anticipated for completion by early to mid-January 2021.
Please observe the reduced speeds and restrictions that will be in place to protect the workers and road users, your cooperation and understanding while this work is carried out is greatly appreciated.
