Council's Open Space Renewal Program includes a project at Byethorne Park to replace the existing sleeper steps and benches to the shelter at the right hand side of the lake.

Works will commence on Friday 23 August to remove the existing steps and to prepare the ground for the installation of the new steps. which the contractor will commence on Monday 26 August.  It is anticipated that the step installation works will take 1 week.

Once the steps have been installed, the new picnic settings to 2 shelters, along with 2 new benches to the boardwalk and 2 new seats in the park, 1 by the lake and another adjacent to the playground, will be installed. The furniture installation works are anticipated to be completed by mid September.
