Bald Hills Road Reconstruction Stage 2A Springs Road to Wetlands
The District Council of Mount Barker has contracted Bardavcol to carry out the next stage of upgrade works to Bald Hills Road across Mount Barker creek and towards Springs Road. The work will be commencing in February and run for a period of approximately 3 months subject to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
The upgrade will comprise major reconstruction and upgrade of the Mount Barker creek culverts, reconstruction and widening of the road pavement, reconstruction and reconfiguration of the Laratinga Wetland carpark and improvements to stormwater drainage. The project will stop short of a future project to upgrade the intersection of Bald Hills and Springs Road.
By necessity, this will result in delays and unavoidable inconvenience however, Council will be working very closely with the contractor to ensure traffic management is well considered and that delays are minimised as much as is practical.
During the course of construction, this page will be updated regularly. The update will inform readers of the progress of the works to date together with an outline of the planned works for the week ahead and any specific impacts that could be expected by road users.
