Callington Stormwater Infrastructure
Weather Delays Commencement
July 2014
Inclement weather and procurement delays have delayed the commencement of works until early August 2014.
Stormwater Infrastructure
June 2014
Infrastructure includes:
- connection to the existing stormwater pit at the corner of South Terrace and West Terrace
- excavation and installation for new underground stormwater pipes and pits
- verge grading and road crossings at South Terrace, Hannam Street and Murray Street.
This infrastructure will collect and redirect stormwater flows to the existing underground system, reducing potential for property inundation along West Terrace during periods of regular rainfall.
Traffic Management will be in place throughout construction to create a safe working environment for contractors, road users and residents. Access to properties will be maintained. Should your property be adjacent to the workzone you will be given prior notice before work is undertaken that may temporarily disrupt access to your property, to allow suitable arrangements to be put in place.
The contractor will commence in the week beginning 23 June 2014 with construction undertaken between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday. It is expected that works will be completed within six (6) weeks from commencement subject to weather and any unforseen issues.
