Jeffrey Street Nairne - Pedestrian Bridge Replacement
The project will comprise preparation of the Jeffrey Street site, removal of the existing bridge, installation of a steel super frame by crane, a concrete deck bridge and clearing of vegetation in the waterway.
Work to install the bridge is now complete. Some minor site tidy up will be undertaken to complete the project.
Work to Commence
Work is scheduled to commence mid May 2015 and completion is expected by end of June 2015, subject to weather and any unforeseen circumstances.
The cost of this project is $120,000 which will provide improved pedestrian safety, access and amenity for the community.
During the construction period, pedestrians will be required to use an alternative route. Council will be working very closely with the contractor to ensure pedestrian and vehicle safety is well considered during construction.
