Matthew Road and Nairne/Woodside Road Intersection Upgrade
The Developer of the Fox Hill estate is commencing the upgrade of the Matthew Road / Woodside Road intersection having received final approvals from Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.
Work includes upgrading of Nairne /Woodside Road between Joanne and Stockham side streets and the intersection into Matthew Road and is anticipated to commence Tuesday, 24th March 2015 and conclude on 5 June 2015, weather permitting.
One lane along Nairne / Woodside Road will be kept operational at all times during the works as the eastern and western sides of the road will be constructed independently.
It is intended that Nairne / Woodside Road and the entrance into Matthew Road be widened and this will necessarily incorporate the construction of newly configured concrete roadside kerbing and the laying of new bitumen paving.
During construction, vehicles travelling along Matthew Road will need to access Nairne Road from Parr and Packard Streets or from Pulleine Road. Please also note that vehicles will not be able to access Matthew Road from Nairne Road. Access will be given at all times to any affected entrances to homes.
The site project management will be undertaken by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. Should you wish to seek clarification on any issue, please contact the Tolmer Site Supervisor, Nigel Sadler, on 0437 772 220.
This construction works does not include the pedestrian refuge that will be located further south along Nairne / Woodside Road as DPTI had a priority to get the Matthew Road Junction upgraded in the first instance.
