North Road Nairne
Road Closed for Reconstruction
Following the completion of the drainage works, sections of North Road Nairne will be reconstructed with asphalt from Woodside/Nairne Road to Haeusler Drive together with a further section near Junction Road.
During this time, these sections of North Road will be closed to all vehicles. Detours will be in place to direct traffic via an alternate route.
Council's contractor has indicated that this work is scheduled for 23 to 27 March from 7am to 6pm.
Further Drainage Work Commencing 14 March 2017
In preparation for the pavement renewal, further drainage improvements will be undertaken along a short section of North Road from Haeusler Drive towards Woodside Road. This work is scheduled to commence on 14 March and be complete by end of March, subject to suitable weather conditions.
During construction, this section of the west bound lane of North Road will be closed to vehicles. Detours will be in place to direct traffic via an alternate route to Woodside Road.
New Commencement Date
Council's Contractor has advised a new commencement date being 20 February with completion by the 3 March.

Commencing in late January with completion by late February 2017, concrete works will be undertaken to improve drainage at the following locations:
- Between Woodside Road and Haeusler Drive – Spoon drain construction across North Road and along North Side of North Road
- On opposite side of road to Church Street – Mountable kerbing construction and side entry pit construction to collect storm water runoff
During drainage works North Road will remain open to traffic under traffic management. Please observe all posted signs and traffic control instructions.
This work is being undertaken in preparation for road improvement works that will be undertaken by the end of the financial year.
