Paddy Hill Road Improvements
The District Council of Mount Barker is committed to maintaining roads in good condition to provide a safe environment.
Work to improve Paddy Hill Road, Mount Barker, will commence the week of 16 February 2015 and is expected to be complete by April 2015, subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
The road will not be widened, remaining primarily a single lane road except for formal turn out points to allow vehicle passing. Tree and shrub pruning to provide a safe vehicle clearance passage will be undertaken and some dead and dying trees will also be removed. Other works include embankment trimming, drainage to minimise ingress of stormwater into properties, road base preparation and bitumen spray seal.
The work will necessitate the road being closed between 9.00am to 3.30pm on week days to provide a safe working environment. During this time there may be limited access to your property. All endeavours will be made to ensure a minimum of inconvenience while these works are underway.
