Mount Barker District Council is now able to accept the following payments by credit card (Visa and Mastercard accepted):
- rates
- infringement
- general payments
You can make your payment at any time of day, conveniently from wherever you access the Internet. See Security Information
Alternative rate payment options are available. Please follow the instructions as described on the Rate Notice to pay via:
- Australia Post
- Bpay
- Payment by Telephone
- In Person

Dog and cat registrations
Dog and cat registration payments
Dogs and Cats Online (DACO) is an online service that is used for all registration payments, microchipping and breeder information. DACO replaced the 68 individual council registers and assist councils, shelters and the general public in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
Development Application Payments
For applications lodged via PlanSA are made through the PlanSA portal
From 19 March 2021, South Australia planning system went live allowing development applications to be submitted and tracked online via the ePlanning platform.
Security Information
Mount Barker District Council uses sophisticated security to keep your payment and personal details confidential. Our credit card authentication process makes use of Verisign, the same technology used by major banks. When you make a payment, your credit card details are encrypted before being transmitted to the payment system with our financial institution. In the event of unauthorised use of your credit card, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
