Sazón Espresso brings a vibrant blend of Mediterranean and Mexican-inspired cuisine to the heart of Mount Barker. From the moment they discovered the town, owners Jose and his team knew they had found something special. As Jose Estrella recalls, “We fell in love with the main street of Mount Barker when we walked in and we said wow, the main street’s got something special – this is the place we want to be. It was magical!”

Originally opening in a modest space, Sazón quickly outgrew its footprint thanks to overwhelming support from the local community. “We started half the size of this shop and after just over a year, the response was great from the community and the opportunity came along to extend ourselves,” says Jose.

Now a well-loved fixture in the Adelaide Hills, Sazón Espresso reflects the spirit of Mount Barker—welcoming, diverse, and full of opportunity. “Mount Barker is a great place to be, the main street’s fantastic, and there’s a lot of new opportunities for new businesses and I think to do something different, you just have to be passionate about what you do…” Jose adds.
