Street Arts Festival a banquet of entertainment
Produced by Bamboozled Productions, the creative force behind GET FESTIVE, held in the pop-up park in December, STREET ARTS FEST will be a celebration of outdoor entertainment featuring street theatre performances from local, interstate and international jugglers, acrobats and comedians.
Bamboozled Director Louise Clarke assures that STREET ARTS FEST will be a “banquet of entertainment and good vibes.”
“Street theatre is a highly accessible form of performance art, offering a range of benefits,” Ms Clarke said.
“By taking performances to public spaces, it breaks down traditional barriers, making theatre available to a diverse audience without cost or formalities. This fosters community and shared experiences, while its immediacy enhances connections between performers and spectators.”
The line-up includes renowned artists from across the country along with performances from local community arts groups. Food trucks serving healthy food and a boutique bar stocked with Adelaide Hills’ offerings will be available for the duration of the festival.
"We're thrilled to bring our unique festival magic back to Mount Barker after the success of the GET FESTIVE events in December," Ms Clarke said.
"In a world where festivals often come with a hefty price tag, STREET ARTS FEST offers a free, local alternative right at the Mt Barker community’s doorstep. As summer lingers, this event is a perfect opportunity for people to book a babysitter and make it a memorable date night."
Beyond this event, the pop-up park will continue to host a variety of community events throughout the year showcasing local talent in bands, choirs, theatre groups, dance schools, live painting demonstrations, art markets, and sports activities.
STREET ARTS FEST will be at the pop-up park on Saturday 9 March, from 1 pm to 10 pm.
