Regional Public Health Plan

The South Australian Public Health Act 2011 (The Act) requires that a council, or group of councils (like the Southern and Hills LGA) prepare and maintain a ‘regional public health plan’ to protect the public health of their communities, prevent illness, disease and injury and promote conditions to support community wellbeing.

Mount Barker, Adelaide Hills, Alexandrina, Kangaroo Island, Yankalilla and Victor Harbor councils developed a public health plan to guide coordinated efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents in the Southern and Hills region.
