Free Clean Green Waste Drop-off Days
Opening hours for free clean green waste drop-off days are 8.30am-4.30pm.
The following dates have been scheduled for 2024:
- Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May 2024
- Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October 2024
- Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November 2024
- Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December 2024
NOTE: All material not classed as clean green by the Transfer Station Operators (indicative list below) will attract a charge on the day, this includes mixed or contaminated loads of green waste (indicative list below).
Clean residential green organics, including:
Fruit tree prunings
Gum or other tree prunings
Native shrub prunings
Shrub prunings - non declared plants
Branch sizes limited to 100mm diameter
Loads limited to 8 x 5 trailer
Charges apply as per Green Waste
Commercial or truck loads of material
Weeds, including but not exclusive to those listed below:
Bamboo, Blackberry, Boxthorn, Bridle Creeper
Cape Broom, Couch, English Broom
Gorse (fuize), Hawthorn, Horehound
Kikuyu, Olive, Palm, Periwinkle, Poplar
Rose, Salvation Jane, Three Corner Jack
Agapanthus, Yuccas, Willow, Weeds other
NOTE: Declared weeds and plants will not be accepted under the Natural Resources Management Act 2004.
Clean Green – this material is processed into mulch for resale, therefore we aim to keep this as clean as possible to avoid weed and seed material being present and causing problems where mulch is used in people's gardens.
Proof of residency may be requested on the day.
