Temporary Road Closure – Hutchinson Street (Between Morphett Street and Druids Avenue)
A temporary night-time road closure will be in place on Hutchinson Street between Morphett Street and Druids Avenue to enable investigation works to be undertaken which will inform the Hutchinson Street Pavement Investigation and Design Project.
Closure Details:
- 📅 Date: Thursday 15 October 2026 to Friday 16 October 2026
- 🕘 Time: 9:00 pm (Thursday) to 6:00 am (Friday)
- 📍 Location: Hutchinson Street between Morphett Street and Druids Avenue, Mount Barker
During the closure, contractors will undertake geotechnical drilling and underground service potholing investigations across the roadway. These investigations are required to inform the future design and planning of infrastructure improvements.
The works have been scheduled overnight to minimise impacts on road users and surrounding businesses.
Detour routes will be in place via Morphett Street, Stephen Street and Druids Avenue. Motorists are requested to follow all traffic management signage and allow extra travel time if travelling through the area during the closure period.
Access for emergency services will be maintained as required.
