Dive into the fun at Summit Aquatic and Leisure
Developed by Mount Barker District Council and operated by Belgravia Leisure, the $52 million centre is set to become a premier destination for health, fitness, and family fun in the Adelaide Hills. To mark this major milestone, locals are being offered an exclusive first look during the two-day community weekend.
Community members can book a free 90-minute swim session and/or join a guided group tour of the state-of-the-art facility. Each swim session is capped at 200 people to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
If you’re curious about the features and layout of this exciting new complex, group tours will be run by Mount Barker District Council throughout both days of the event. With only 15 people per tour, this is a great chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the project, learn about the building’s innovative design features, and see how the space has been purpose-built for a wide range of community needs.
Bookings for both the swim sessions and tours are essential.
Beyond the pools and tours, the weekend is set to be a celebration for all ages. Enjoy music from a DJ, a fundraising barbecue hosted by the Mount Barker Swimming Club, and family-friendly activities including a GOswim colouring and activity station. There are also plenty of prizes to be won, so there’s even more reason to make a booking and get involved.
Summit Aquatic and Leisure has been designed with accessibility, inclusion, and long-term community benefit in mind. The centre features a 25-metre competition and lap pool, a dedicated learn-to-swim pool with shallow entry and water play features, a warm water therapy pool, and modern gym and fitness studios including a Reformer Pilates space. Additional amenities include a KidZone child-minding service and a welcoming on-site café—everything you need under one roof to support a healthier, more active lifestyle.
