Notice of Works - Parkview Drive, Mount Barker

Overview

GMB Water has commenced construction of a new 2.1 km Sewer Trunk Main. Works will run from February 2026 to January 2027.

Scheduled Works

The new pipeline will run from the Wastewater Treatment Plant through the reserve parallel to Parkview Drive, Bald Hills Road and Hartman Road, finishing at Emerald Way. The upgrade will increase network capacity and reduce future service disruptions.

Worksite Location

A construction compound will be established in the reserve on Parkview Drive between Scarborough Way and Melville Street. Increased construction activity, machinery and vehicle movements should be expected.
Traffic and pedestrian management, including reduced speeds, temporary closures and detours, will be in place as required.

What the Works Involve

Installation of the new trunk main
Temporary noise, dust and vibration
Limited vegetation removal where necessary
Reinstatement of all disturbed areas at completion

Work Hours

Day works: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm
Night works (Bald Hills Road only): Sunday–Thursday, 7:00pm–5:00am, with detours
No weekend or public holiday works unless approved

Project Timeframe

Works will continue until January 2027, weather and site conditions permitting.
