Wastewater Service Customers

Particulars of wastewater service charges are highlighted in the blue section on the Rate Notice. This will assist residents differentiate the additional services the Mount Barker District Council provide when rates accounts are compared with metropolitan councils.

Wastewater Service Charges only apply to Wastewater Service customers. These are not new charges. View an example of the new notice here.

GMB Water

Effective 1 July 2025, the Wastewater Service transitioned into a Section 42 subsidiary of Mount Barker District Council. Known as GMB Water, it assumes full responsibility for delivering wastewater services, as well as managing the supply of recycled water and bore water to the community.

This structural change aims to enhance service efficiency, regulatory compliance, and resource management, ensuring sustainable solutions that meet the growing needs of the region. All queries can be forwarded to:
