Waste Management Service Charges
The waste management annual service charges were declared at the Council meeting on 6 July 2026 based on the nature of the service for the financial year ending 30 June 2027.
For the collection of kerbside waste and recycling in respect of all land, the annual service charges are as follows:
- 3 bin waste, recycling and green waste service - $320
- 2 bin waste and recycling service - $267

Additional bins from 1 July 2024
Council has changed how additional kerbside bin services are provided to residents.
From 1 July 2024, “new” additional bin properties can apply for a single additional bin. Previously additional bins could only be applied for and supplied as a whole set (not as singular bin’s).
The charges for the additional bins, if requested and supplied on application, will be set out on the rates notice as an increase to the Value/Unit of the levied full Waste Management service charge in accordance with the Council’s adopted and declared Policy position, as follows:
- an additional blue general waste bin, charged at 0.5 value of the base annual waste management charge,
- an additional yellow recycling bin, charged at 0.25 value of the base annual waste management charge, and
- an additional green waste bin, charged at 0.25 value of the base annual waste management charge
