Summit Precinct Hotel

A $50 million, 120-room hotel is set to transform Mount Barker into a premier regional tourism and leisure destination, with South Australian-based developer Accord Property chosen to develop an entertainment and leisure precinct on land owned by Mount Barker District Council. The hotel will be the first stage of the landmark Summit Precinct.

A development application was submitted on 3 March 2025 for the four-star hotel at the Summit Precinct along Springs Road in Mount Barker. The development application is expected to be assessed by the State Commission Assessment Panel.

The hotel plan marks the first major tourism investment into the 50-hectare council owned summit precinct which already includes the Summit Sport and Recreation Park, and the soon-to-open Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

The construction of the hotel is expected to start by late 2025 or early 2026 and be operational by 2028.
