Transport Assistance

If you need to get to a medical appointment or social activity, shopping or visit friends/family and have no other transport option Hill Community Transport could help you find a way to get there using volunteer drivers or taxis (subject to available resources).

Bookings are essential with at least 3 clear working days' notice recommended. It is best to make metropolitan appointments between 10.00am and 2.00pm to keep waiting times to a minimum. When demand exceeds our capacity, an attempt is made to reschedule client appointments or prioritise according to the highest need.

Who is eligible for transport assistance from HCT?

You are eligible for transport assistance from HCT if you do not have any other transport options.

Other transport may include:

* Driving yourself if you are able

* Family or friends to take you

* Public transport or taxi services you can access

* Other community transport options

You must also live in the Adelaide Hills, Mount Barker or Strathalbyn areas.

If you are over 65 years of age a referral is required from My Aged Care. Please contact them on 1800 200 422.

Is there a cost for transport provided by HCT?
