Current Community Consultation

The Mount Barker District Council is strongly committed to genuine, effective and timely community engagement on a range of issues, often exceeding the minimum legislative consultation requirements.

Under Section 50 of the Local Government Act 1999, Council's are required to adopt a Community Consultation Policy that prescribes the minimum engagement standards.

Following close of a consultation period, a report will be prepared for consideration at a Council meeting incorporating the outcomes of the consultation process, issues raised and how these will be responded to.

Council will make all submissions received available to the general public through this process.
