Parks and Reserves
Council maintains parks, reserves and road reserves. Parks that are established as part of a development or are under the renewal period by a contractor are yet to be handed over to Council to be incorporated in the maintenance schedule.
Inspections are conducted in order to identify those which do not meet the level of service and are at a point where operations spending will not achieve adequate rectification. Specific shortcomings are identified and scoped, and scoped works are prioritised on potential use and community access to alternative parks or reserves.

Springs Wetland Trail Head
What we’re doing
Completing the landscaping alongside Springs Wetland and Pavilion to create a new entrance for the wetlands and trail head for the popular Laratinga Trail.

Duck Flat Creek Trail

Shared path along drainage reserves associated with Duck Flat Creek, linking Laratinga Wetlands share path network.

The Progress
This has now been completed and open to the public.
The pedestrian crossing at Alexandrina Road is scheduled to commence from 28 June and be complete by end of July. Please look out for changed traffic conditions during construction and pedestrians crossing the road when works are complete.
Works are progressing well, despite the wet weather and are on track to be complete by end of June 2022.
The trail works for the Duck Flat Creek Trail project will begin in early May with compound setup, followed by construction.
The project is anticipated to take 4 weeks.
The red sections on the maps indicate the trail to be constructed.
