Background
Infrastructure planning has been in progress to continue the upgrade of Stephen Street between Gawler Street and Morphett Street following on from the upgrade between Gawler Street and Mann Street. in previous years.
A recent presentation was made to Councillors on 30 January 2023 to provide an overview of the design concepts so far.

The Progress
We are having to undertake some additional design for the Stephen Street Upgrade due to project impacts on the SA Water Main.
Revised timeline:
Design Completion: September 2023
Procurement: October 2023 - January 2024
Construction: February - June 2024
Further public consultation will be undertaken prior to the design being finalised.
November 2023
A report to Council has been prepared providing and update on progress and next steps.
