Notice of Road Closure - Newenham Parade

Newenham Parade Closed Friday 8 March 2024
Due to a mature Red Gum falling across the creek, a crane will be set up on Newnham Parade to remove it. While this happens, the road to be closed to all vehicles.
Works are expected to commence at 11.00am and conclude by 3.00pm Friday 8 March 2024.
Local traffic management will be in operation with a detour for vehicular traffic noted to Rochfort and Burton Streets. The linear trail will also be closed during this time with pedestrian access still available on the southern side of Newenham Parade via the normal footpath.
Once the tree is removed, log sections will be utilised within the immediate area as features and habitat opportunities for fauna. Replacement plantings will be undertaken during the cooler months of 2024.
