Am I entitled to a green waste collection, and where do I get a green waste bin from?
Residential properties within areas classified as 'Township' for the purposes of the kerbside collection receive a fortnightly green waste collection service. To establish whether your property is within this boundary, please refer to our online Kerbside Waste Collection eMaps.
The ratepayer is responsible for provisions and maintenance of a suitable green colored 240L mobile garbage bin, compliant with Australian Standard AS 4123.5-2008.
Bins can be purchased from hardware stores, second hand yards, etc or directly from Councils waste contractor, Solo, on 08 8295 5077 for approximately $80 (plus GST). Solo will arrange for delivery of the bin to your property. Green waste bins remain the property of the resident.
