Lord Robinson Park, incorporating Crystal Lake Park

Named after a local person (lived in Hawthorne Cottage next to Marker’s Barn in the main Street) who became an English Lord. He revisited Macclesfield and planted pine trees in this park which was then name in his honour. Crystal Lake was built and named in the 1930’s. Approx 18 ha in size.

Main entrance with access to Crystal Lake and sculpture park is at the corner of Pound Road and Pochin Street. Entrance for walking trails is from the corner of Nunnelly Street and Strathalbyn Road. Both areas have carparks.

Macclesfield Recreation Grounds is heavily forested around the perimeter and is extensively improved with sporting facilities including tennis, netball and football.
